I can’t believe it is Sunday already. Here is my card for last weeks sketch challenge. I am not sure if I like it but it will do….

Went to Coal Creek and trick or treated on Friday night and well here’s my costume….what do you think?, crazy huh.!??! I rather make people laugh (especially my kids) then scare them. The kids were Superman and Supergirl but it got a little cold, hench the jumpers over the top.

And to top off a great weekend I had my friend Vanessa stay over last night and we scrapped till the wee hours, which was so fun. I finally finished that layout too Ness… Here’s how it came out.

Now for this weeks challenge. I think I will go with a colour challenge this week inspired by a forum/ store (  http://scrappingaround.net.au/home/index.html )I often visit, ….here we go…..

Please feel free to make a card or layout. Now you are probably wondering why I am bothering as no one has sent anything in for a few weeks but hey, to me it keeps my scrapbooking moving and it gets me to think out of the box and if you join me well thats just a bonus. Hey everyone just wanted to post the Challenge for this week. I am really into sketches and have been surfing the net lately and have come across some amazing ones. I thought we could give this one a go this week.

I found this sketch at www.sketchesbytamara.blogspot.com (Check out what others have created with this sketch, it can be interpreted in so many different ways) I would love to see what you come up with. Remember you don’t have to use only Stampin’ Up! products, just some.  I will be back with my entry soon also a couple of cards I have been working on this week. Now I must leave you and actually get some good sleep tonight, milk and fruit duties @ kinder in the morning but as promised here is my layout created with our Simply Scrappin kit…you should give them a go, you could create a whole album with just one kit, no joke. Hey ladies, sorry it has taken me till now to show you my layout for the challenge. This week I thought I would show you how Stampin’ Up can mix well with your stash. I had fun searching through my patterned paper to find something like my sheets…. Here’s what I have come up with

To achieve the gold shimmer of my sheets I used Stampin Up Gold Embossing powder, I love this stuff, especially with the Baroque Motifs stamp set, my favourite at the moment and for $39.95, I have already made it worth the money.

I’ll be back soon with a layout made from one of our Simply Scrappin kits (pages 137-139). I have never used them before and boy are so quick and easy to use. perfect for the beginner scrapbooker, check them out if you have a chance. I hope your having a good weekend, enjoy the sunshine.

Laying in bed this morning I was thinking about this weeks challenge (yes I am scrap crazy) and I was looking at my beautiful bedsheets and it gave me an idea. For this weeks challenge I would like you to take a photo of your favourite bed sheets, ones that make you feel amazing when you hop into them and use them for your inspiration. Here are mine… Now if you’re thinking you don’t have bedsheets that you love, dang girl….go get some, you’re missing out on a simple luxury. Considering we spend so much time in bed I figure why not feel like a princess. So yes a layout or card inspired by your linen (please include the photo of the sheet when emailing yo9ur creations please). If you seriously don’t have any that you love, crazy to even think that but if you don’t maybe have a look @ your kids linen and that might get the creative juices following. I can’t wait to see what you come up with. Now off to wash the floors….oooh yay!!

I have to say I am glad I went. It was nerve racking rocking up there without my husband (he stayed home with the kids) but luckly I had my school friend Kristen to walk in with.

It felt like High School all over again though, the girls just looked and everyone kinda just stood around working out who everyone was. I was okay with standing in the corner, until my ex-husband walked in with his new wife that was in the same year level as I. It was awkward to say the least, to top it off she thought it would be good to have a heart to heart with me about him, clearly drunk…. the whole time I was thinking how grateful to have the life I do now… But apart from that it was okay…was hoping Kristen would of had her baby (she is due next week), it would of been extra memorable sitting in a hospital waiting room haha. But it is over and done with now, back to my normal but lovely little life.

Back to business. i have two entries for Challenge #7, thank you Genna and Ness.I am love the fact we all did colours of the ocean…so nice. Here are the entries….

Here is my take on this weeks challenge. My favourite colour (and shades of) and a neutral. I love these tones, I wish Stampin’ Up! had more variety I could play with but I think it has come up okay. Sorry ladies but I am thinking I might just skip setting a challenge this week…. there is nothing wrong with me…I’m just a little sick with a headcold and so I don’t feel like have a set “thing” I must do, so for this week please just let loose, show me your stuff and freestyle it. I am personally going to do multi photo layouts, atleast four photos to a page so I can hopefully get through my back log of photos……here’s hoping. But till then here is a layout I created for the Creative Team call out on Stuck sketches…..

It’s funny even after a holiday I am stuffed. I had the two kids with me whilst I was scrapping so I can’t say I completely “relaxed” but I did manage many many layouts. Here is one

The kids loved their play at the beach and I manage to get some quick snaps….boy they are growing up.

And to top it off my mum had also just come out of hospital so we went to visit her and Jasmine couldn’t give enough hugs to her Mormor. It really warmed my heart

As for my spring mini challenge. This is going to be the first time I don’t submit mine, I’m sorry but I have just run dry of inspiration for the moment plus my head is all stuffed up with hayfever, sinus headache and a horrible dry cough, but my beautiful downline Genna has created this lovely 6×6 layout Snow Burst stamp set and embossing onto vellum, very cool. I will have my entry as well as the next challenge entry for you next Sunday. Stay tuned for in a moment I will post the next challenge…But till then stay safe and I hope you are well.
