Late night!!

I was so thrilled to be at the Nickelback concert last night in Melbourne. They absolutely ROCKED! Awesome seats…my ears are still muffled!!

I love going to concerts so much!! Going to see Britney Spears next week so that will be very different experience to say the least.

Anyways I wanted to post a couple of layouts I have received for this months challenge…….

Markers directly on to rubber

Well ladies, I’m back with another fun way to use our fantastic Stampin’ Write Markers….. stamping can become a little boring when you can only use one ink pad colour at a time, this is where our markers are PERFECT.

The ink in our markers are the same as our ink pads, so you can colour directly on to the stamp. Your imagination is your only limit. Here is a layout I created today. The smaller flowers  and the alphabet are what I have coloured directly onto the rubber…..

I was inspired by this layout from my daughter skirt. I think I often buy colours for her now that have the scrapbooking element to them…here is the design

Well I hope that has inspired you to get out your markers and do some scrapbooking this weekend…

I have a another quick layout just before you go, I had it published in Scrapbooking Memories two months ago which also shows how detailed you can get with colouring directly onto your stamps.

Masking with the Colour Spritzer

Hey ladies, sorry I haven’t returned earlier. We are having a bit of a heat wave down in Victoria at the moment and it really disturbs my creative vibe…I am so a winter girl! Anyhow I am back with my laptop finally!! (3 months in the warranty repairers) so I hope to be bringing you more ideas for your scrapbooking using our fabulous stamps and products.

I have had my Colour Spritzer for awhile now and haven’t really touched it, so whilst trying to fall asleep at night, when all my ideas seem to come to me, I thought it would be fun to try and mask with it. Now if you don’t know what masking is, Here are a few simple steps. I have used our Large star punch here for the example..

Punch out your shape and adhere a very small amount of Snail Adhesive to one side, stick to another piece of cardstock (this won’t be a permanent placement)

Slide a Stampin’ Write Marker into the Colour Spritzer, insuring the two tips meet

spritzer 002

Squeeze the balloon of Colour Spritzer until you get the desired effect. I found you can get different looks by how  HIGH YOU HOLD THE SPRITZER FROM YOUR WORK or HOW THE TIP OF THE MARKER IS ALIGNED…. its fun having a play with that!

spritzer 003

Now the fun part…the reveil…just slowly pull off the your mask, making sure to take you time…. then ta-da!!

spritzer 004

So there you go… now you are most likely thinking how can you do this in your scrapboooking. Well I had a play and this is what I came up with.

So there is another little way you can use our great Stampin’ Write Markers.

If you are interested in getting the Markers or Colour Spritzer even, please email me at stampin_withtanja@iprimus.com.au or  give me a buzz on 0418 144 732 I am here to help.

I will be back with some more layouts soon…

Hope your having a lovely day

Marker Madness Month

With the prize this month for my sketch challenge being Stampin’ Write Markers, I thought it would be appropriate that I show you some different ways in which you can use our fabulous markers throughout the month of November.

First technique uses our Colour Spritzer Tool.

Now you may not of seen these at your workshop. But if you have and have wondered what you do with it, I’ll give you a quick run down.

Here is what the Colour Spritzer tool looks like…

spritzer

With this tool, a Stampin’ Write Marker turns into an Airbrush and can create stunning airbrushed effects.

It is as simple as sliding the Stampin’ Write Marker into the Colour  Spritzer, making sure the tip of the marker and the Spritzer meet, then screw the marker gently into place. Now on some test paper, squeeze the balloon at the end of the Spritzer. The closer to the paper you are and the hard you squeeze, the stronger the spray will be. It is a good idea to have a play before you use it on your final project.

In this layout below

Mum by Tanja Westwood

I have used the Colour Spritzer Tool on the circle pretty off centre from the middle of the page. I was inspired by my daughters bedlinin for this design and found the Spritzer Tool prefect for the effect I was after.

Close Up

kilcunda 005

I used it very close to the paper to create this darker effect. If you wish a more speckled look, use from a distance.

I will be back soon to show you another great way to use the Colour Spritzer Tool and our Stampin Write Markers, but until then, keep creating and if you would like your own Spritzer tool to play with they are $24.95 plus p/h and you can contact me via email – stampin_withtanja@iprimus.com.au or0418 144 732, I’m happy to help.

Till next

Take care,

Tanja
